ITINÉRAIRE : Jean Chazy sculpteur depuis 1972. Représentation abstraite et Structurelle , il évoque le corps mental, l’immanence du geste,la transcendance de la géométrie. Ligne,coupe, colonnes, Parallélépipède, intériorité, socle, cadre, fragilité, éphémère, tension et équilibre instable font parti de son vocabulaire. Il travaille la pierre, le bois (souche, roules et copeaux) et la terre (employée crue dans des cadres en bois). À partir des années 90, jean Chazy utilise le métal (corde à piano,plaques,tubes)et le ciment qu’il associe au tulle et suspend. Depuis les années 2000 jean Chazy utilise le film étirable. Il tend de grandes bandes dans l’espace . Il utilise des supports métalliques (cubes, pentagones), des bases enbéton et fixe ses structures aux troncs des arbres, les poses au sol et les suspend. Il travaille en partenariat avec d’autres artistes : Martin Kaltwasser (Allemagne), Amina Ménia (Algérie),AmelBouslama (tunisie), Yaël Frydman (France), Corine Sylvia Conjiu (France), Camilla Newhagen (USA), Yann Le Crouhennec (France), Patricja Petryk (Pologne).
