BLOOD COUNT 7
The "Blood Count" series strives to highlight the stories of the world’s most vulnerable people, namely children, refugees, and victims of human rights violations. Each piece in this collection uses powerful imagery and symbolism to emphasize the narratives of these individuals' innocence and the unimaginable suffering they endure throughout their lives. Even after overcoming childhood or refugee status and distancing themselves from the moments of rights violations, they continue to grapple with these experiences.
These works, relying on themes from the "Rebirth of the Reds" series, delve into the horrific realities hidden within crimes, bloodshed, and statistics, where each number represents a person; a person who faces obliteration and destruction because of their color, language, race, religion, gender, or any specific identity.
The Blood Count attempts to portray the stories of innocent lives lost worldwide, who find themselves in situations beyond their control, in a unique manner. It also serves as a call to recognize these individuals' humanity, stories, and sufferings. By bringing these narratives to the forefront, "Blood Count" challenges viewers to confront the reality of these injustices and foster a deeper empathy and stronger commitment to "change" among people.
